Darrell Anderson Scholarship

Honoring a 50-year culinary education veteran who trained over 2,000 students across education, restaurants, and catering sectors.

About Chef Darrell L. Anderson

Chef Darrell L. Anderson (1955–2011) was a legendary figure in the Pacific Northwest culinary community. Over a 50-year career, he trained and mentored over 2,000 young culinarians across diverse sectors including culinary education, restaurants, and catering operations.

Beyond his direct impact on individual students, Chef Anderson served as President of the WSCA (then known as PNCA) on two separate occasions, providing visionary leadership during critical periods in the association's development. He held significant leadership roles in the American Academy of Chefs and was deeply committed to advancing the culinary profession at both local and national levels.

His exceptional contributions to culinary education and professional development were recognized with the prestigious ACF Hermann G. Rusch Award.
