Our Strategic Vision

By 2028, WSCA will be recognized as the premier professional organization for Washington's culinary community, providing unmatched education, certification, networking, and support that advances careers, celebrates culinary excellence, and strengthens the profession.

This strategic plan outlines four key priorities that will guide our efforts and investments over the next three years, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our members while elevating the culinary profession across Washington State.

Our Strategic Priorities

Professional Development & Certification
Advance ACF certification participation and continuing education excellence across Washington.

Key Goals:

  • •Increase ACF certification participation by 25%
  • •Reimburse members up to $200 in certification fees
  • •Offer 20+ continuing education opportunities annually
Educational Excellence & Scholarships
Expand apprenticeships, scholarships, and mentorship programs supporting emerging chefs.

Key Goals:

  • •Award 10+ scholarships annually (including $10K Student of Year)
  • •Grow apprenticeship program enrollment
  • •Expand WSCA Foundation to $50K+ annual fundraising
Community Engagement & Membership Growth
Expand membership and strengthen connections across Washington's culinary community.

Key Goals:

  • •Expand membership from 250+ to 300+ by 2027
  • •Increase student member participation
  • •Develop mentorship program pairing students with experienced chefs
Industry Leadership & Events
Position WSCA as the premier culinary association through prestigious events and partnerships.

Key Goals:

  • •Continue catering Governor's Inaugural Ball tradition
  • •Host regional ACF conferences and competitions annually
  • •Strengthen partnerships with food service suppliers and industry leaders

Measuring Success

We are committed to transparency and accountability. Our progress will be measured through:

Membership Growth
300+ active members by 2027, retention rates, and satisfaction scores tracked quarterly.
Certification Impact
25% increase in ACF certifications, CE hours provided, and member reimbursements.
Education & Scholarships
10+ scholarships awarded annually, apprenticeship enrollment growth, $50K+ foundation giving.
Community Engagement
20+ annual continuing education events, industry partnerships, and member participation rates.
